In September 2025, Bridge Records released our second album, Passages. It features more premiere recordings of French compositions from Franchomme’s era up to the present day, including cello duos by Franchomme, Fauré and living composer Philippe Hersant recorded with Julia Bruskin, and sonatas by Charles Koechlin and Debussy with shorter pieces by Chopin, Franchomme and Poulenc recorded with Spencer Myer. Our producer is again the multiple Grammy-award winning Steve Epstein, who shares engineering credits with Judith Sherman, another multiple Grammy-award winner. Watch some session takes here!
The Franchomme works included are world premiere recordings, whose editions are in my Dover publication Selected Works for Cello and Piano by Auguste Franchomme.

Acclaim for Passages: French Cello Works
“Dubin and Myer’s depiction of [the Koechlin sonata’s] impressionistic lights and shades made me pause the recording so I could order the score…an intriguing collection of hidden gems…accomplished performances.” – January 2026 issue of Strings Magazine
“Exceptional. Her intonation, tone and adaptation to the differing styles of music was so impressive, I am very surprised she has not been snapped up by a label to record some of the big works in the cello repertoire...Her partners were equally impressive, but this is Dubin’s show." – Music Web International (UK)
"…warmly expressive, with just the right measure of dramatic weight when called for ... stylistic versatility and vibrant coloration….From the gravity of the Chopin, to the grace of the Franchomme, to the aggressive nature of the final Caprice by Philippe Hersant, her expressive details do the music full justice" in this "finely curated collection" – Jean-Yves Duperron, Classical Music Sentinel
“The interspersing of three cello duets in amongst the five cello-piano duets makes for a very appealing recording, and Dubin was smart to include such contrasts in the album's configuration. No matter the musician she partners with, however, the cellist never fails to impress on this collection for both her musicological acumen and sterling technical command.” – Textura
"4/4 stars. Passages is an intelligently-planned and executed album of gorgeous chamber music worth exploring and highly recommended!" – Steven Kennedy at CineMusical
